ITTFは28日、ジュニアサーキットポーランド大会ジュニア男子団体で優勝した日本チームについて報じた。

松下海輝、有延大夢、厚谷武志が代表として出場した日本チームが、ジュニア男子団体で優勝した。

28日土曜日に行われたジュニア男子団体決勝のスウェーデン戦(Viktor Fredriksson・Anthony Tran・Adam Andersson)では長時間に渡る
大接戦となった。

そこで彼らは驚くべきことをやってのけた。


スウェーデンは準々決勝で第1シードのハンガリー(Lakatos,、Marton Szita,、Do Phuong Nam)に、準決勝ではベルギー(Tamas Lakatos・Marton Szita・Do Phuong Nam)に勝利した。

準決勝で第3シードのベルギーを破り勢いに乗ったスウェーデンチームは、
決勝でも1番のViktor Fredrikssonが松下海輝を、2番ではAnthony Tranが有延に勝利し王手をかける。

誰がもがスウェーデンの優勝を疑わなかったが、スウェーデンにとって勝利は遠かった。

3番の厚谷がAdam Anderssonに勝利すると、4番の松下がAnthony Tranに勝利し、
5番の有延がiktor Fredrikssonに勝利し優勝を決めた。

最初から最後まで、日本の勝利は全て大逆転劇であった。
準々決勝では第2シードのポーランドと対戦し、準決勝では第4シードのロシアと対戦した。
ポーランド戦では、松下海輝と有延大夢は共にTomaz Wisniewskiに勝利し、
厚谷武志が3番でMichal Koryckiに勝利し、チームの勝利を決めた。

ポーランドにとって唯一の朗報は、ヤカブが有延大夢に勝利したことである。

Represented by Kaiki Matsushita, Taimu Arinobu and Takeshi Atsuya,
Japan won the Junior Boys's

Team title at the Polish Junior and Cadet Open in Cetniewo on Saturday 28th
May 2011 but they were stretched to the limit by a Swedish team,
comprising Viktor Fredriksson, Anthony Tran and Adam Andersson.

They had proved the surprise outfit of the tournament.

At the quarter-final stage they had beaten top seeds,
Hungary (Tamas Lakatos, Marton Szita, Do Phuong Nam)
before in the semi-finals overcoming third seeds,
Belgium (Emilien Vanrossomme, Julie Indeherberg, Florent Lambiet).

Quarter-Finals

A place in the semi-finals booked the man of the moment was Anthony Tran.

He accounted for both Emilien Vanrossomme and Julien Indeherberg;

whilst Viktor Fredriksson also defeated Emilien Vanrossomme.

The wins for Belgium came from Julien Indeherberg
over Viktor Fredrikkson and from Florent Lambiet.

In the third match of the fixture, he defeated Adam Andersson.

Swedes Take Lead
Success in the semi-finals and it seemed that victory in the final was a possibility.
Sweden established a two matches to nil lead following success
for Viktor Fredriksson over Kaiki Matsushita and for Anthony Tran
in opposition to Taimu Arinobu.

Japan Responds
However, there was no more Swedish success.

Takeshi Atsuya accounted for Adam Andersson, Kaik Matsushita defeated Anthony Tran
and matters came to a conclusion
with Taimu Arinobu proving too secure for Viktor Fredriksson.

Caused Surprises
Victory for Japan who en route to the final had caused upsets
;in the quarter-finals they beat Poland, the no.2 seeds,
by three matches to one before defeating Russia, the no.4 seeds, in the semi-finals.

Against Poland, Kaiku Matsushita and Taimu Arinobu both accounted for Tomaz Wisniews
with Takeshi Atsuya adding the one further win. He defeated Michal Korycki.

The one success for Poland came from Jakub Dyas, he accounted for Taimu Arinobu.
