卓球はそのプロジェクトにおいて、主のスポーツとして取り上げられ、近年BBCテレビでも注目を浴びている。

グリーンハウスプロジェクトでは壮大なコーチングプログラムで、世界選手権ロッテルダム大会の見学のため、コーチのマークスミスを中心にアーネスト・ベビンカレッジという卓球チームに所属する4人の若い選手をサポートしてきた。

「彼らは世界選手権に行くことを心より楽しみ、世界のトッププレイヤーのレベルの高さに驚いていた。」とマークスミスは語った。

グリーンハウスプロジェクトが彼らをサポートしたおかげで、彼ら全員が夢のような素晴らしい経験ができた。

「沢山の有名な選手に会えた。彼らは凄く強いんだ！」とロブソン・ラマが語った。
彼はロンドンでは15歳以下シングルスのチャンピオンだ。

「試合後に、ティモボル、王皓、馬龍にサインしてもらったんだ。彼らはとっても親切で、凄く嬉しかった。」

このことは正しく卓球が素晴らしいものであるということを表している。
世界中の一流卓球選手達は非常に優しく、礼儀正しい。

Empowering young people in London disadvantaged communities
to realise their potential through high quality,
intensive sport and dance programmes delivered by inspirational coaches
is the motto of England Greenhouse Project.

Table Tennis is a major sport in the Project and was recently featured on BBC Television.
The Greenhouse Project organises an extensive coaching programme and supported four young players
from the Ernest Bevin College alongside coach,
Mark Smith, to attend the recent GAC GROUP 2011 World Table Tennis Championships in Rotterdam.

Amazed
They thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were amazed by the level the top players were reaching
said Mark Smith. It would like to thank Greenhouse for their support.
All are the richer for the experience and were spellbound.

" I saw lot of famous players, there level was inhuman!"
said Lobsang Lama the recent London Under 15 BoysSingles champion, "Timo Boll,
Wang Hao and Ma Long even signed my shirt after finishing playing their awesome matches,
this gave me a real confidence boost, they were very kind."

That fact is true, very true; table tennis is fortunate,
the best players in the world are always cooperative and polite. They are a privilege to know.

Learnt the Language
"It was a wonderful trip for my players, they are very dedicated to table tennis and
it was great that the Greenhouse Project could recognise and
reward their commitment concluded Mark Smith. They even now know how to speak some Dutch!"
