ITTFは12日、スペインオープンで優勝した平野早矢香選手について報じた。

4月10日(日)にスペインオープンの男子シングルス、女子シングルスでそれぞれ優勝した呉尚垠(韓国)と平野早矢香(日本)は、翌11日(月)にITTFより発表されたITTFプロツアースタンディング（プロツアーのランキング）でアルメリアでの奮闘が評価され、共に上位に躍り出た。

彼らはこの優勝によって、2011年11月24日(木)から27日(日)にロンドンのエクセルアリーナにて開催されるITTFプロツアーグランドファイナル2011への出場権獲得の可能性を大いに高めた。ロンドンは2012年オリンピックの開催都市でもある。

さらに、彼らは2011年のITTFプロツアーで6大会に出場しており、グランドファイナルへの基本的な出場資格は既に獲得してる。
（呉尚垠はポーランドオープンのみ出場せず、平野早矢香はスロベニアオープンのみ出場しなかった。）

・ITTFプロツアースタンディングの上位7組
※開催国枠のペアが7位以内の場8位のペアも出場可能

☆21歳以下シングルス
・2大陸以上の大会かつ4大会に出場
・ITTFプロツアースタンディングの上位8名

Korea Oh Sang Eun and Japan Sayaka Hirano, the winners of the respective Men and Women Singles titles at the Spanish Open on Sunday 10th April, both enjoy higher positions on the ITTF Pro Tour Standings published by the International Table Tennis Federation on Monday 11th April 2011 as a result of their efforts in Almeria.

Both have increased their chances of receiving an invitation to the ITTF Pro Tour Grand Finals to be staged at the Excel Arena in London, the home for table tennis at the 2012 Olympic Games, from Thursday 24th to Sunday 27th November 2011.

Furthermore, both have played in six ITTF Pro Tour tournaments in 2011 and have thus met the basic qualification criteria.

Only Absences
The only tournament in which Oh Sang Eun has not been present was the Polish Open, whilst for Sayaka Hirano she did not compete in Slovakia.

Reversal of Fortunes
Meanwhile, Sayaka Hirano now appears at no.7 on the Women Singles Standings; the win in Almeria being a total reversal of the fortunes she experienced in her immediate previous appearance on the ITTF Pro Tour.
